Q: How long have you been a wedding photographer?
A: I photographed my first wedding in 2013, and I was MIND-BLOWN from the sheer and utter joy of it all. Over my 12 years as a wedding photographer, my heart and soul have only grown more stoked ever since. There’s nothing in the world I’d rather do, and no place I’d rather be!
Q: We want things to feel relaxed and candid, but we’re awkward in front of the camera! Will you tell us what to do?
A: Take a breath and know that literally every couple feels this way!! It’s totally normal, but don’t worry! I will give you guys tons of direction, fun prompts and things to do so that you are having a blast and not even thinking about the fact that there is a camera around. Working with me is like having a friend hang out with you, and you guys just look really cute. I PROMISE, you’re going to rock it!!
Q: Can we order prints of your images or does that cost extra?
A: Your online gallery has an awesome print shop from which you can order cards, prints, and albums if that is something of interest to you. I
Q: Do you help with the planning process?
A: Oh heck yeah. Having photographed hundreds of weddings, I am well-versed in this world (and I got married in 2017!) I love to help with anything from vendor recommendations to timeline advice, and everything in between!
Q: What kinds of couples do you work with?
A: I photograph couples who are playful-hearted and wildly in love. I love love in all forms, cultures, religions, sexualities, shapes, sizes, etc. If you’re stoked on each other and trust my process, I promise you, it’ll be a beautiful and dang good time
Q: What do we do if it’s raining on our wedding day or engagement session?
A: I’ve shot in rain, snow, hail, insane winds, and everything in between. Trust me and remember that there is nothing more important than your promise to one another: and rain or shine, your story is beautiful, and I’ll be there cheering you on no matter what!
If you want more pictures, we can always do a day-after wedding session, or we can check out other dates for engagement pictures if you’d truly like to do so!
Q: How many pictures will we receive?
A: I don’t put a limit on how many pictures I deliver - I shoot nonstop throughout any wedding or session, and the only reason I wouldn’t deliver a picture is if one of you sneezed or something of that nature. Wedding galleries usually range between 800 - 1000 photographs, and engagement sessions usually range between 200 - 350 photographs.
Q: What is required to book?
A: To book your date, I require a 50% retainer + a signed contract to secure your spot on my calendar. Your remaining balance is due anytime between the day you book and the week of your wedding. We can also set up payment schedules for your remaining balance. Let’s come together and do what works for you!
Q: Do you travel for weddings?
A: All the time! I’ve flown anywhere from California to overseas to photograph weddings, and driven all up and down the East Coast for love. There is no limit to where I will travel for your celebration!
Q: What do you shoot with and are you insured?
A: I shoot with Canon’s newest, highest-end glass and gear. I have two cameras on me at all times and a wide array of wide-angle and zoom lenses. Both myself, my business, and all my gear are insured.
Q: What is the turnaround time?
A: Turnaround time usually depends on whether the wedding or session is during busy seasons (Apirl-June, September-November) or close to holidays. For weddings, it takes around 7-9 weeks to hand-edit every image and make sure they are perfect for you! For sessions, it usually takes between 3-5 weeks.
