These are just a few questions I get asked a lot, and I thought I'd just lay it out there in case you may have these questions, too! Feel free to ask me anything you'd like. I'm a total open book.
Why are you a wedding photographer? I love people. Plain and simple. I will do anything and everything possible to make my couples' dreams come true. Whether it means photographing in the pouring rain, climbing on top of a roof for the best angle, running with you through fields, or waking up at 5AM for a sunrise session. You name it, we'll make it happen because I pour my soul into this.
How would you describe your style? Nature-inspired, artfully moody, documentary-style.
Do you have a second photographer? Yes! I am a member of a close-knit community of fellow photographers who are fantastic people and incredible artists.
What happens if there's an emergency? Remember those photographer friends I mentioned earlier? Should I run into a wild, life-threatening situation, I can call upon those people to come to my assistance. But I always do everything possible to minimize risk, such as traveling well in advance to any destination, investing in travel insurance, and keeping my fuel-efficient car up to date and up to speed. And seriously, I will still photograph your wedding even if I'm struck by lightning or have to walk 100 miles with a broken leg. I have never ever EVER missed any wedding, engagement, portrait session, rehearsal dinner, etc. Ever.
What do you like to do for fun? I love anything that involves being outside: biking, hiking, running, kayaking. Camping trips are rad, too. Oh, and seeing live music makes me smile for days.
Do you do other photography (portraits, families, pets)? I sure do! Whether it's a newborn session, family portraits, or pet parties (these things happen, you know...) I'm all for it!
What gear do you use? I shoot primarily with a Canon 5D Mark IV + Canon 5D Mark III. I have a variety of lenses to capture subjects close up and far away. But more importantly, it's more about how I photograph rather than the gear. I direct, teach, and nurture photography into a fun, organic and positive experience.
Are you insured? Yes! Both myself, my gear, and my business are insured.
Do you travel for weddings? All the time! Whether your dream day is on the east coast, west coast, or an elegant elopement away, I adore traveling and would love to make those magical dreams happen, no matter where they may be! (Contact me for special pricing for destination weddings!)
